This was the simple question that my lovely wife posed to me over dinner earlier tonight. Considering the general level of profundity that my wife regularly responds to my questions with I decided to put forth a Herculean effort to respond accordingly. I puzzled and puzzled until my puzzler was sore, then I puzzled some more. Than I had a Eureka moment! I nearly shouted the answer to her in my joy at having achieved a sufficient level of enlightenment to have solved such a complex riddle.
I proudly answered, “A zebra with a sunburn!”
Shannon, clearly astounded by my dizzying intellect, was struck speechless as she just sat at the table blinking in my general direction. It is good when we can still impress our spouses in such ways.
In something completely unrelated, a reporter named Tanisha Thomas showed up at our pharmacy/ice cream shop the other day. I assumed she was looking for the scoop! She was there to do a nice article on our pharmacy. She titled the article, “Penn Hills non-profit pharmacy offers affordable medications for patients“. It is available online and in the Progress on April 7th.
While Ms Thomas did an excellent job, it did remind me of some fantastic news headlines that are so great, they make you do a double take, including:
- Stolen prosthetic arm discovered in a second hand shop in Bournemouth
- County to Pay $250,000 to Advertise Lack of Funds
- Missing woman unwittingly joins search party looking for herself
Now that I’ve gotten all that out of my system, I should mention the things we have coming up in the not too distant future:
- Today through Saturday, April 16, Easter Basket ~ As a fundraiser for the patient care fund, we are raffling an Easter Basket. We are asking for $1 for 1 ticket or 7 tickets for $5. The drawing will be held on Saturday, April 16th at noon.
- Friday, April 8th, 6:30ish – 9PM, Board Game Night ~ This has long been a tradition to come in on a Friday and have fun playing games.
- Saturday, April 9th, 7PM – 8:30 PM, Bereans Group ~ This group, which is open to the public, is discussing obedience to authorities.
- Tuesday, April 12th, 7 PM – 8:30 PM, Bible Study ~ We are continuing our study on the Gospel of John, please come and join us.
- Wednesday, April 20th, 5PM – 7PM, Dr. Strange ~ We will be showing Dr Strange shortly before the new Dr Strange movie is released in May. Check it out with our improved sound system and new projector!
Now for the part everyone always asks about, the food! Our current sandwich is a grilled chicken wrap, our current soup is our extremely popular white chicken chili, and our current specialty ice creams are Honey Roasted Peanut Butter and Dark Chocolate Raspberry.
