Silly Rabbit, Easter is for Jesus!

This morning when my dog and I stepped out of the house there were several rabbits all lined up in my front yard and they all jumped backward. For at least one moment I had something in common with all those bunnies…a receding hare-line!

Of course my hairline does remind me of the fact that I’m getting older. As several of my family members developed Alzheimer’s as they got older, I recently started making a list of advantages to having Alzheimer’s:

  1. I will be able to hide my own Easter eggs.
  2. I will get to meet new people everyday.
  3. I will be able to hide my own Easter eggs.

So besides Easter this weekend, we also have the Dr. Strange movie on our screen next week. Seeing Dr Strange this coming Wednesday reminds me of the first time I saw it, which happened to be election day. Afterwards I was able to say, “I got to experience a scary bizarro world where sanity was cast aside and the laws of nature were twisted to the breaking point, and I also went to a movie.”

Whoever said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results has obviously never had to reboot a computer. With that in mind I want to start encouraging people to come to our first ever computer user group meeting in May. We already have people well versed in Apple products, Linux, ChromeOS, and Android products that will be in attendance to help you with your questions or just discuss cool new things. We are still looking for someone comfortable troubleshooting MS Windows. If you are that person feel free to use our contact form to reach out to us.

We have even more than that coming up soon, so we should mention our additional activities in the not too distant future.

  • Today through Saturday, April 16, Easter Basket ~ As a fundraiser for the patient care fund, we are raffling an Easter Basket. We are asking for $1 for 1 ticket or 7 tickets for $5. The drawing will be held on Saturday, April 16th at noon.

  • Friday, April 15th, 6:30ish – 9PM, Board Game Night ~ This has long been a tradition to come in on a Friday and have fun playing games.
  • Saturday, April 16th, 7PM – 8:30 PM, Bereans Group ~ This group, which is open to the public, is appropriately discussing the significance of Easter.
  • Tuesday, April 19th, 7 PM – 8:30 PM, Bible Study ~ We are continuing our study on the Gospel of John, please come and join us.
  • Wednesday, April 20th, 5PM – 7PM, Dr. Strange ~ We will be showing Dr Strange shortly before the new Dr Strange movie is released in May. Check it out with our improved sound system and new projector!

  • Saturday, May 14th, 1PM – 3PM, Computer User Group ~ We are looking forward to our first ever meeting. We are trying to gather a group of enthusiasts that enjoy various platforms and wouldn’t mind helping others with questions.

Now for the part everyone always asks about, the food! Our current sandwich is a grilled chicken wrap, our current soup is our extremely popular white chicken chili, and our current specialty ice creams are Caramel Cheese Cake Cookie Monster (yes, that is all one ice cream) and Coconut Chocolate Almond.

Thanks and God bless
Sean
