I rang him and asked what she was into and he said, “Anything Frozen”.
So, I got her a bag of peas and some pizza rolls.
I went into a toy store to do some early Christmas shopping and asked the assistant, “Where are the Schwarzenegger dolls?”
He said, “Aisle B, back.”
I once bought my daughter a set of batteries for Christmas.
I put a note on it saying, ‘Toys not included.’
So, you may be wondering, ‘What is going on with all these Christmas shopping jokes?’
My wife hates shopping and considers ‘shop’ to be a four letter word, which technically it is, and she thought I should mention some of the ways we have to simplify the process from board games, to custom 3D printed items, to even having mystery gifts.
I thought I might share a childhood anecdote about the woes of waiting till the last minute to attempt making a holiday purchase. It was Christmas Eve, and my mother was preparing to cook for our family, including some relatives that were visiting. At the meat counter she was anxiously picking over the last few remaining turkeys in the hope of finding a large one.
In desperation my mother called over a shop assistant and said, “Excuse me. Do these turkeys get any bigger?”
“No, ma’am,” he replied, “they’re all dead.”

We’ve been promoting a different game in every newsletter for the past several months. This week I want to mention a game that my wife and I will often enjoy at home, Bananagrams.
This is the anagram game that drives you bananas! Addictively simple, and simply addictive, Bananagrams is the fast and frantic word game enjoyed by millions! Players and their opponents aim to use all their letters to build their own word grid in a race to the finish. The first player to use all their tiles is crowned “Top Banana”!
Bananagrams requires no pencil, paper, or board, and comes in a small portable banana-shaped pouch. Perfect for ages 7 and up—at home or on the go.
Above is a picture of one time when Shannon and I played Bananagrams while on vacation.
Now for the part everyone always asks about, the actual food! Our new Sandwich is a delicious tuna melt. Our soup is our loaded hash brown potato soup. Our specialty ice creams are Deep Dish Apple Pie and Mint Moose Tracks. A new treat is grilled cake with strawberry topping or a peanut butter topping.
Thanks and God bless
Sean
